Now that Halloween has ended, it’s tempting to fall into the cozy routine of staying in next to the fire. However, if you’re interested in venturing outside as the mercury drops, you’ll still find plenty of fun around Castle Pines and Denver to tide you over until the holidays.
Anderson Farms Corn Maze
Anderson Farms operates one of the best corn mazes in Colorado into early November. With more than 25 acres and eight miles of trails, the living puzzle is sure to keep you and the young ones entertained all day – and don’t worry, it’s not haunted when the sun is up. After dark is a different story: If you’re game for a paintball zombie hunt, Anderson Farms has you covered.
History Walking Tours Around Denver
Three words: whiskey, history, outlaws. Discover how Denver really began on a walking tour that will take you to major landmarks to learn about the hidden history of Wild West outlaws and Colorado’s oldest buildings. After the tour is over, stick around for a bourbon tasting at Hearth and Dram.
Claude Monet’s Landscapes
Explore the world from Claude Monet’s unique point of view in the Denver Art Museum’s new exhibit, Claude Monet: The Truth of Nature. With more than 120 paintings spanning Monet’s entire career, tour the rugged Normandy coast to the sunny Mediterranean to learn more about Monet’s passion for capturing ephemeral views of landscapes.
Castle Rock Starlighting
Don’t miss the star-lighting in downtown Castle Rock on November 23, from 2pm to 7pm! The celebration will feature hot chocolate, live entertainment, and a visit from Santa to hear wish lists from little ones. The outdoor ice skating rink, Rink at the Rock, will be open, and — of course — the main attraction at the end of the night is the gigantic star on Castle Rock shining with light and fireworks.
You’ll always find plenty of entertainment and fun happening close to home in The Canyons at Castle Pines. The most wonderful part of our community is being near Denver for convenience, yet still feeling a hundred miles away from the rush of the big city. Enjoy serene nature walks in our open spaces as the seasons shift, send your children to award-winning local schools, and enjoy the Hess Reservoir — a perfect place for photography and birdwatching.
